Media library and uploads: all your media in one place

Your media library is the central collection point for all your images and videos in Artistnest. Images and videos you upload, content you import from your connected social media channels, and even your release covers all come together here – in a single, searchable overview. From there, your media feeds your website and your marketing, so you maintain content only once and can use it everywhere.

In this article, we show you step by step how to upload your own media, sync content from your social media channels, filter and search your media library, and view or play individual media in the preview.

Open the media library

  1. 1Sign in to Artistnest.
  2. 2In the menu, open the Media library area.
  3. 3You now see all your media in the overview – images, videos and automatically included release covers.

If your media library is still empty, a note tells you that you can upload images or sync your YouTube videos.

Upload your own images and videos

  1. 1Click Upload file at the top right, or drag your files directly onto the drop area of the media library.
  2. 2You can upload several files at once – images as well as video files in common formats.
  3. 3While uploading, you see a progress bar. Afterwards, the media appear in your overview.
Note: You don't add content from connected channels one by one via URL – instead, you bring it into your media library with Sync (see next section).

Sync content from your social media channels

If you've connected your profiles (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube) to Artistnest, Artistnest automatically pulls your posts, reels and videos into the media library – once when you connect, and regularly in the background after that. You can also trigger the sync manually at any time.

  1. 1Click Sync at the top right to sync all connected sources at once.
  2. 2If you want to choose a specific source, open the Sources menu with the ▾ arrow.
  3. 3If a source like YouTube shows connected, click Sync now next to it. Artistnest then tells you how many videos were imported. If a source isn't connected yet, click Connect.

After syncing, your imported videos appear in the overview with the source Imported.

Filter by type and source, and search

  1. 1Filter by type: At the top left, choose between All, Images and Videos.
  2. 2Filter by source: Next to it, pick a source, for example Own, Imported or Spotify. Behind each source, you see in brackets how many media it contains.
  3. 3Search: Type a keyword, such as a title, into the Search… field at the top right to find a specific item.

Filters and search can be combined. Release covers automatically appear as their own source, without you having to add them manually.

Switch between gallery and table view

  1. 1Use the toggle above the overview.
  2. 2Choose Gallery for a visual tile view with large preview images.
  3. 3Choose Table for a compact list view with columns for Preview, Title, Type, Source and Actions.

In the table view, you can use the icon on imported videos to Open original and remove media if needed.

View and play media in the preview

  1. 1Click a tile in the gallery, or the preview of an item in the table.
  2. 2A large preview opens: images and covers in full screen, videos directly as a player (whether as a file or embedded from YouTube).
  3. 3Close the preview again to return to the overview.

A small play icon on the tile tells you right away that it's a video. If a tile also shows a number like "2×", several variants belong to this item.

Tips

  • Maintain once, use everywhere: Since your website and your marketing draw on the media library, you save yourself double work.
  • Connect your channels early: As soon as your profiles are connected, you bring new content into your media library with one click on Sync.
  • Use meaningful titles: A clear title makes searching and filtering much faster later.
