Team & roles: invite and manage members

Not working on your career alone? With the team area in Artistnest, you bring management, label contacts or band members on board – each with exactly the permissions they need. That way you stay in control while others take work off your hands.

In this article, we show you how to invite members, which roles there are and how to manage your team.

Who manages the team

The team is managed by the Owner and the Admins of your artist profile. They can send invitations, assign roles and remove members again. Only the owner can assign the owner role and delete the artist.

Open the team area

  1. 1Sign in to Artistnest.
  2. 2Open Settings → Team.
  3. 3You see the list of your current members with their respective roles.

Invite a new member

  1. 1Click Invite user.
  2. 2Enter the Email address of the person you want to invite.
  3. 3Choose the appropriate Role (see below).
  4. 4Click Send invitation.

The invitation is sent to the person automatically by email. You also see an invitation link that you can share yourself if needed (e.g. if the email doesn't arrive). The invitation link is valid for 7 days; after that, it expires and you would have to send the invitation again.

The roles at a glance

Artistnest has four roles with graded permissions:

  • Owner – full access to all features. You have this role if you created the profile. Only the owner can delete the artist and assign the owner role.
  • Admin – may do everything except delete the artist: content, releases and pages, plus team management, subscription and billing.
  • Member – can work on content.
  • Viewer – has read-only access and can't change anything.

Keep roles as narrow as possible: someone who only needs to look at things is in the right place as a Viewer; someone who actively works along, as a Member or Admin.

Manage members

In the member list, you see each person's role. As an owner or admin, you can manage members here and remove them from the team if needed.

How many members are possible

Team size depends on your plan: on the Start plan, it's just you as the owner. From the Pro plan, you can invite unlimited team members. You'll find more on this in the article on Subscription & billing.

Tips

  • Assign roles sparingly: Give each person only as many permissions as they really need.
  • Plan your team early: If you want to work together with others, you need at least the Pro plan.
  • Use the right role: Read-only access = Viewer, active collaboration = Member or Admin.
